Carol M. White Physical Education Program

Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives
U.S. Department of Education

The Carol M. White Physical Education Program provides grants to initiate, expand, or improve physical education programs, including after-school programs, for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The goal of this program is to help students make progress toward meeting state standards for physical education. Faith-based and community organizations are eligible to apply provided they meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The application deadline is March 22, 2004.

In an effort to provide technical assistance to faith-based and community organizations, the Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives has produced this webcast to serve as a grant writing tutorial for the Carol M. White Physical Education Program.

The webcast is best seen using a high-speed Internet connection. If you have trouble viewing this presentation, you may wish to use a high-speed connection at a local library.

Because the Carol M. White Physical Education Program employs the novice applicant procedure
, faith-based and community organizations are encouraged to apply.
