Brenda
Kiliany, Pharm.D., is a Team Leader in the Food
and Drug Administration’s Center for Drug
Evaluation and Research (CDER), Division of Drug
Information. Dr. Kiliany responds to a wide variety
of inquiries about human drugs from pharmacists,
doctors, other health care professionals, consumers
and industry representatives. She writes consumer
information and frequently asked questions (FAQs)
about recently approved new molecular entities
for FDA’s web page. Additionally,
Dr. Kiliany provides an overview of CDER and the
new drug approval process to foreign government
dignitaries and visiting students. She serves
as a preceptor for Pharm.D. students in drug information
rotations.
Her previous position with FDA was in the Product
Information Management Branch where she was
responsible for quality control of the Drug
Registration and Listing (DRLS) contract.
Prior to joining FDA, Dr. Kiliany was a pharmacist
in the ambulatory care section at the National
Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center. While at
NIH, she aided in the development and implementation
of a warfarin-monitoring clinic in the National
Heart Lung and Blood Institute clinic. Dr. Kiliany
received her B.S. degree in pharmacy from the
University of Pittsburgh and her Pharm.D. degree
from the University of Arkansas for Medical
Sciences, College of Pharmacy.

Kremzner is a Team Leader in the Food and Drug
Administration's (FDA), Center for Drug Evaluation
and Research (CDER), Division of Drug Information.
CDR Kremzner's work involves responding to inquiries
from a broad range of sources, including regulated
industry, academia, consumers, health care professionals
and others. She also acts as a host for
visiting representatives of foreign governments
and regularly presents overviews on CDER’s
role in drug development and review. CDR
Kremzner also writes consumer friendly information
on a variety of drug products for FDA’s
web site.
Before
joining FDA in 1996, CDR Kremzner worked in a
contract capacity to the FDA in CDER’s Product
Information Management Branch. CDR Kremzner’s
responsibilities included leading a team of pharmacists
and technical reviewers in maintaining the FDA’s
database created to comply with the Drug Listing
Act.
CDR Kremzner began her career working in retail
pharmacy for eight years and continues to maintain
her skills as a practicing pharmacist by working
part-time in community pharmacy. She received her
degrees from the University of Maryland School of
Pharmacy.
