HAVERFORD COLLEGE TO HOST MEDIA ROUNDTABLE
AT NATIONAL PRESS CLUB
"The Media's Role in the 2004 Presidential Election:
What Happened, What Didn't, and What to Expect in the Future"
One
week after America takes to the polls, Haverford College will
host a post-election roundtable to discuss the media's role
in the 2004 presidential election and preview 2005 issues.
Distinguished Haverford alumni Juan Williams, Senior Correspondent
of National Public Radio; John Carroll, Editor of the Los
Angeles Times; David Espo, political correspondent, Associated
Press; and Norman Pearlstine, Editor-in-Chief of Time, Inc.,
will participate in the roundtable moderated by Michel Martin,
ABC "Nightline" correspondent, to discuss the media's
impact on each candidate's election campaign and the election
results, as well as the role the media will play in the next
administration.
