Tax Incentives for Community Renewal Webcast

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) present a webcast on the $11 billion package of tax incentives for businesses in Renewal Communities (RCs) and Empowerment Zones (EZs) and updates on changes to these incentives. A panel of IRS experts discusses employment credits, work opportunity tax credits, commercial revitalization deductions, increased Section 179 deductions, and other incentives. The webcast also includes an overview of the Empowerment Zone and Renewal Community Enhancement Act of 2007 as the final segment of the presentation. Two CPE credits are available to qualifying viewers who log in and view the webcast in its entirety. Specific instructions for redeeming credits are provided during the webcast.
