A group of current and former
State Farm agents from across the country held a press conference
at 10:00 am ET on October 29, 1999 at the National Press Club
in Washington, D.C. The agent group called for Congressional
and state investigations into consumer abuses by America's largest
insurance company-- State Farm Mutual Insurance Co. Topics discussed
include redlining, inflated homeowner's insurance pricing, unethical
life insurance sales practices and the company's history of consumer
abuse.
