Campaign 2000 may prove a watershed year for online campaigners -- with historians later writing about how the Internet swung the election. Panelists will discuss the online strategies of the GOP and Democratic parties as each group enters the 2000 elections and the impact of online electioneering on the American electorate. Discussion will include reflections on who the political animals on the Web are and whether voters can be motivated by online campaigns to go out and vote. Additional topics to be discussed will include covering online campaigns.
