The SEC will conduct the first-ever Seniors Summit at
the Commission's headquarters in Washington, D.C., on Monday, July 17,
2006, 10 am to 12 noon. The Summit will focus upon how regulators and
other entities with an interest in America's senior citizens can better
coordinate efforts to protect older Americans from investment fraud and
abusive sales practices. Participants will include, among others, SEC
Commissioners, SEC staff members, and representatives of NASAA, NASD,
AARP, and the California Department of Corporations. Chairman Christopher
Cox will moderate the Summit.
