Transition to Teaching Program

This webcast provides technical assistance to those applying for a Transition to Teaching grant for the FY 2004 competition. Note that grant applications for the FY 2004 competition must be submitted electronically. Entities eligible to apply include: a State educational agency (SEA); a high-need local educational agency (LEA); a for-profit or nonprofit organization that has a proven record of effectively recruiting and retaining highly qualified teachers, in a partnership with a high-need local educational agency or with a State educational agency; an institution of higher education, in a partnership with a high-need local educational agency or with a State educational agency; a regional consortium of State educational agencies; and a consortium of high-need local educational agencies. Specific questions about this program may be sent to transitiontoteaching1@ed.gov.
