The National Mathematics Advisory Panel, commissioned by President Bush in 2006, is pleased to announce the completion of its work and the submission of its final report. Based on a review of the best available scientific evidence, the report offers 45 findings and recommendations to improve students' preparation for and success in algebra--the gateway to higher mathematics and greater opportunity in the global economy of the 21st century.
On March 27th, Larry R. Faulkner, Chair of the Panel, and Raymond Simon, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education, led a webcast discussion on the report’s principal findings and key messages.
